Jio Platforms IPO Nears Listing

Jio Platforms, backed by Reliance Industries Limited, concluded its initial public offering subscription on Friday. The issue reportedly became India's most subscribed stock offering, overtaking the 2008 Reliance Power issue. Allotment is expected to be finalised on Monday, October 26, 2026, with a tentative listing on both NSE and BSE on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 10 am.

The listing will follow a special pre-open session from 9 am to 9:45 am, during which orders can be entered, modified or cancelled. Order matching, trade confirmation and opening price determination will run from 9:45 am to 9:55 am, followed by a five-minute buffer and transition period before trading begins at 10 am.

Issue Structure And Pricing

The IPO is a book build issue aggregating ₹ 30,213 crore, entirely a fresh issue of 27 crore shares. The price band was fixed at ₹ 1,065 to ₹ 1,119 per share. The minimum investment for a retail investor works out to ₹ 13,428, corresponding to one lot of 12 shares.

The grey market premium stood at ₹ 250 per share as of 2:37 pm on October 25, 2026. Adding this to the upper price band indicates an estimated listing price near ₹ 1,369 per share, implying a gain of roughly 22.34%. Based on that premium, an investor allotted one lot could see a potential money gain of about ₹ 3,000. Grey market premium is an unofficial indicator and is not a reliable predictor of actual listing performance.

Market Capitalisation In Focus

Taking the upper price band and the post-issue share count into account, Jio Platforms' market capitalisation is expected to be close to ₹ 10 lakh crore. Actual market capitalisation fluctuates with price movements, and the company's eventual ranking will depend on the listing price as well as the prevailing prices of other listed stocks.
