Profit Triples On Subscription Revenue
AssetGro Fintech Ltd, the parent of investment platform StockGro, has reported a sharp jump in profitability for the financial year FY26. Its net profit rose 226.6% to ₹113 Cr, compared with ₹34.6 Cr in FY25. Operating revenue roughly doubled to ₹226.1 Cr from ₹113.3 Cr a year earlier. Subscription fees made up 99.9% of operating revenue, with service fees accounting for the remainder. Total income, including other income of ₹4.8 Cr, stood at ₹230.9 Cr against ₹125.5 Cr in FY25, while EBITDA nearly doubled to about ₹118.7 Cr from ₹59.5 Cr.
The Tax Credit Behind The Numbers

The company then recorded a net tax credit of ₹14 Cr, made up of a deferred tax credit of ₹15.9 Cr and a current tax expense of ₹1.9 Cr. This credit lifted profit after tax to ₹113 Cr, above the pre-tax figure. For readers tracking tax disclosures, the composition of the deferred tax credit and its recognition basis will be a key item to examine in the company's filings. On the cost side, total expenses rose 47.3% to ₹132 Cr from ₹89.6 Cr, growing slower than revenue.

The company pre-filed its draft red herring prospectus with SEBI in September and is reportedly looking to raise ₹2,000-2,500 Cr, potentially split between a fresh issue of about ₹800 Cr and an offer for sale by existing shareholders. It recently raised ₹110 Cr as part of an ongoing Series B round from existing investor BITKRAFT Ventures, along with Aditum Venture Capital Fund, India SME Growth Fund and actor Suniel Shetty. StockGro, incorporated in 2020, runs a platform for researching, learning about and investing in stocks and alternative assets, and offers an AI-powered research assistant called Stoxo. The company cites India's expanding retail investor base, which it says reached 13.66 Cr unique NSE-registered investors…
